Thanks so much for this, Cathie! It really encourages me to learn that I’m already in the top 3 percent! I have patience, and now I also have a fresh way of looking at where I am. It reminds me of the long years of attending night school - one class a semester. Patience and perseverance, hard work and a great love of learning eventually brought me to graduation, and a wonderful career. None of that time was ever wasted. I will keep going! Thank you!
Yup! Patience is hard, but what you put it in perspective (your'e in the top 3%), it makes it feel a bit more attainable...if still a potentially long wait. You've got this!
I love this. And it’s so true, patience is key to so many things. I’ve learned in from being disabled, and having to raise kids while being disabled. But it’s so true with publishing too, thank you 🩷
This article came at the right moment as I’m battling to finish my first book and joining the 3%. 😅 It’s amazing that a book that didn’t sell initially was picked up for a prize a decade later.
Love the idea that it’s just a hop over a puddle away. Although it is frustrating about that first manuscript eventually being accepted with little revision. So it was nothing to do with the quality of the work and everything to do with it being submitted by a recognisable author? Bittersweet.

Great reminder! I grew up hearing, "patience is a virtue," LOL. And while I agree, it hasn't made it any easier to remember.
Yes, this resonates a lot. 😅
This is a BRILLIANT article, super motivating and kind. Thanks Cathie! ☺️
Thank you for this encouragement! I fail forward every day.
